Job Description
The work is carried out in Cognitive Architectures team which is focusing on management and orchestration at the edge of the network. The team does research related to 5G and 6G systems, and is currently looking into requirements of both Communication System Provider (CSP) and enterprise networks. Team members are participating to publicly funded projects relating to 6G and enterprise networks. Trainee work is instructed by Ph.D. and carried out as a part of team.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
The trainee position relates to intelligent application support for wireless network management. Trainee will have a chance to work on use cases that bring new values to mobile networks, for example in Media and Entertainment (M&E) applications. With the help of the team, the trainee will develop and analyze algorithms that bring application support to specialized wireless networks and/or network slices. The results of the research will contribute to research publications and demonstrations.
The trainee will be responsible for developing and analyzing intelligent method for network management. He or she is expected to be at advanced stage of their studies and has knowledge of wireless communications systems and networks.
Mandatory skills:
- Knowledge 4G/5G systems
- Knowledge of wireless network management principles (e.g. SON)
- Understanding of machine learning principles
- Experience with Matlab and Python
Desirable:
- B5G / 6G networks
- Knowledge of optimization
- Basic software development skill
- Software design
