AR/VR applications are expected to become popular in the next coming years due to the introduction of 5G and edge computing. A key to this is the capability to offload critical parts of the scenery processing to optimal place in the access network taking into consideration coverage, capacity, power and mobility aspects. At Nokia Bell Labs Espoo, we are looking for a summer intern to set up a test environment for programmable edge and radio environment to be used for experimenting various optimizations developed for AR/VR applications.
Having spent some years studying in a university or an equivalent institution, you should already have programming skills and be familiar with Linux. Experience of Kubernetes is a bonus.
You are ready to learn more and interested in doing a variety of different kinds of tasks as part of your job. You are ready to share your knowledge and skills among the people you work with. You are a team worker but also efficient on independent tasks, and your English language skills allow you communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment.
