About Network Infrastructure
Network Infrastructure, includes IP Routing, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks, as well as Alcatel Submarine Networks business, currently reported under “Group Common.” This business group will respond to the ever-increasing demand for higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds and lower costs.


Job Position Description:
Our IP/Optical Networks business group (ION) includes IP, optical and network automation technologies and related services sold to our communication service provider customers as well as adjacent markets including webscale companies and enterprises. Our comprehensive wide area networking (WAN) solutions enable our customers to build and operate automated, secure, and high-performance networks at massive scale – helping to interconnect people and things from any broadband access modality to – and among - edge clouds, central clouds, the Internet, and other services and data centers.


The ION IPR (IP Routing) division leads the industry with the best Network Processor technology (FP4 @ 2.4 Tb/s), QoS, parallel processing, Network Function Virtualization, and product quality. Products cover the spectrum from small CPE-devices supporting a few low-speed Ethernet links to carrier-class and datacenter-class systems supporting terabits of routing capacity. Our world-leading technology enables us to offer customers 400Gbps and 1Tbps links with unparalleled routing features.

As a Program Manager of Optical Modules in the IP Routing group, you will be responsible for: coordinating the qualification of new photonics hardware across design teams in North America; managing the introduction of optical transceivers into the router product line; driving optical module vendors to meet Nokia requirements. This position requires a strong leader who can manage complex projects from concept through release to production. You will work with a high-end highly motivated team of engineering professionals and have major responsibly to drive the process of new product introduction.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies
Work with Hardware and Software engineering teams and Product Line Management to understand internal requirements
Develop and organize optical module budgets, purchase orders, and internal distribution plans
Lead and document weekly team conference calls to coordinate R&D activities and achieve product release targets
Work with Engineering, Procurement, Business Development, and Commodity management to select external suppliers
Foster collaborative relationships with external suppliers in order to capture and help execute on committed timelines


Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Minimum B.Sc or B.Eng in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with suitable background
Project Management experience, scheduling, and resource planning
7+ years of related industry experience
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 

The ideal candidate has the following qualities:
10+ years of experience working with photonic technology vendors, especially high-speed optical transceivers
A track record of leading complex programs with multiple stakeholders and hitting release targets
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
