About Network Infrastructure
Network Infrastructure, includes IP Routing, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks, as well as Alcatel Submarine Networks business, currently reported under “Group Common.” This business group will respond to the ever-increasing demand for higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds and lower costs.
Job Position Description:
Nokia is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Product Manager to join the Service Provider Routing Product Management organization to work specifically on platform technical marketing. This position is in the team responsible for driving the current and future generation networking architectures, developing the next generation of Service Provider Routing Platforms. The position will require the PM to bring in insights on trends in the segment, product/component technology trends, be able to create customer facing presentations and work with Sales to win customer opportunities. The Technical Marketing Product Manager will also develop product roadmap and strategies, respond to changing competitive environments including product positioning, and help drive the irresistible value proposition of Nokia’s IP products. A strong understanding of routing/switching product offerings, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a dynamic high-tech environment is critical. The role focuses on customer facing duties. This position offers a person the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
• Will work closely with customers to understand their requirements
• Will be responsible for working with cross functional groups within the company that include other Product Managers, Product Marketing and Engineering.
• Help drive global product messaging and support business development activities worldwide.
• Detailed Competitive analysis
• Ability to develop detailed crisp requirements and user stories that are used to create product presentations
• Work with Marketing Communications to create Sales collateral.
• A deep understanding of networking Routing & Switching technologies
• Ability to work both independently and in cross functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication & negotiation skills
• A superior presenter; able to easily articulate a value proposition via both presentation skills and slideware.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including the field
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Demonstrate good judgment in identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, meet deadlines, and succeed under pressure
Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• 5+ years of product management experience running core and edge service provider, enterprise routing systems or datacenter, and the ability to present to both business decision makers as well as technical / engineering colleagues
• A focused, get-things done attitude and grit
• A technical Background (BS Engineering/Math/Data/Science)
• MBA of benefit
Required Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with Bachelor´s in CS, EE, will be more relevant. Master’s degree a plus.
